I've had to put working out on the back burner this week.
I got a workout in Monday then for lunch at a fabulous black bean and brown rice burrito. When I went to put lettuce on it a piece dropped to the counter.....I picked it up popped it in my mouth... chomped down and cracked 2 teeth!
These were teeth we (the dentist and I) were watching and waiting for the cracks to begin! So this little piece of lettuce was the trick!
It wasn't too painful but I couldn't eat on that side, I could only drink out of straw so working out was going to a challenge. I tried walking but the bounce was too much so I went to the bike. That worked!
I got my crown (part one) yesterday (Wednesday) so things are super sensitive today.
I'm hoping to get the Y tomorrow afternoon ... at least to weigh! That should be a good number!
Shelly's adventures with trying to be healthy through exercise and eating right!

Update
Well, I didn't make my 1/2 marathon goal, as a matter of fact I didn't even make the 5k goal either!
I had to have shoulder surgery late January. The doctor knew of my goal and promised me that I'd be fine in a week or two! Well, obviously this doctor hadn't ever had a frozen shoulder, hadn't been my age and didn't know the recovery time.
I tried to see what I could do March 1st and that wasn't good!
I had a good 3 months of therapy on my shoulder and didn't start exercise again steady until June 1st!

My new look!

I may look odd, but this is a wonder bag of ice.
After my Physical Therapy they strap this huge bag of ice to my shoulder. I left it there for about an hour (went to eat lunch with it). Then I took a couple of Advil. Today (the day after) my shoulder feels fine! We, the PTist and I were both predicting that today I would be in alot of pain......NOPE! Thank you wonder bag of ice!
I'm impressed that in just a week, my shoulder has come along way!

Alright this is a bummer!
I have to admit that YES, working out makes me feel better BUT it's also great wear and tear on my body.
Over this summer my left shoulder has slowly stopped moving. I continued to work it out, until recently. It's still strong. It's just getting more and more unmoveable!
I went to the doctor the first of September. He said I had impegment and all I needed some Physical Therapy.
Since I was working out already, and I was super busy running back and forth, running like crazy. I didn't go for PT.
Now, it's no longer just impingement it's the next level, something capsulise. and PT 2 times a week for 6 weeks!
OH and an cortisone shot.
No more strengthen my arm, only stretching it!
He's not sure there isn't some sort of tear, BUT my arm is still strong so there is a good chance it just doesn't want to move. Even if there is something that requires surgery, I still have to have PT before he could even do surgery.
